Ludicrous Mode

Sep 14, 2022 | Encouragement

My host offered to give me a ride back to the hotel after our dinner party. “Would you like to go in the Maserati or the Tesla?” (Yes, It was a very nice dinner party.)

I said, “Let’s go in the Tesla. I’ve heard they’re really fast.”

When we got in the car, she said “Wanna see Ludicrous Mode?” I said, “What’s that?” The dictionary definition of ludicrous, by the way, is “so foolish, unreasonable, or out of place as to be amusing; ridiculous.”

Then she floor boarded the accelerator, and I was pushed back in my seat with g forces that surprised me for a conservative looking little sedan. I experienced something that was “so foolish, unreasonable, or out of place as to be amusing; ridiculous.” Not too mention a little scary.

Do you have a “Ludicrous Mode?” Do you unleash the power that resides in you even when it might be foolish, unreasonable or out of place?

I got into “Ludicrous Mode” during my last trip to Baja, and it was liberating. It was foolish, unreasonable, out of place, amusing, and ridiculous. But it was liberating.

Hit the Ludicrous Mode button every now and then. You’ll enjoy it.
